A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Ed lived a life rooted in putting family first—marked by strength, honesty, steadfast values, and an unwavering love for those closest to him.
Ed shared a remarkable 38-year marriage with his beloved late wife, Charlotte—the love of his life. Their journey began when they met at a dance and grew into a beautiful love story that set the standard for all who knew them, filled with laughter, deep devotion, and treasured family traditions.
Together, they raised their sons, Ed and Bob, in a home where family meant everything. Guided by values of love, compassion, respect, trust, and true connection, Ed and Charlotte were fully present—deeply involved in every school and sporting event. Ed was a proud supporter of his family, always showing up for those he loved. When his sons were growing up, Sundays were sacred—spent at church, followed by breakfast at the Garden of Eatin Restaurant and exploring walks at Core Creek and Tyler State Park, moments that became the heartbeat of their family life.
A proud graduate of Penn State University, Ed was a lifelong enthusiast, beaming with pride as both his sons and two grandchildren followed in his footsteps. His family was his greatest accomplishment. He was a constant presence at games, recitals, and milestones—his pride unmistakable.
Ed’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren were truly the light of his life. He celebrated every achievement—big or small—and took immense pride in watching them grow and succeed. He was a constant and enthusiastic presence, rooting for Rob at football and lacrosse games, cheering on Francine in basketball, field hockey, and lacrosse, attending Emily’s cheer competitions, dance recitals, and sporting events, and showing up for Dylan at soccer and baseball games. No matter the activity, Ed was there with unwavering love and encouragement.
Ed especially enjoyed weekly dinners with his family and the meaningful conversations that came with them, sharing his wisdom and genuine curiosity about the world with those he loved most.
He will be remembered for his piercing blue eyes, his quick wit, his embracing hugs, and his intelligence. He never stopped learning, never stopped showing up, and never stopped loving his family fiercely.
Ed is reunited in peace with his beloved wife Charlotte and his cherished son Bob. He is survived by his eldest son Ed and wife Joanne, daughter-in-law Denise, grandchildren Rob, Dylan, Emily, and Francine, and great-grandchildren Paisley Rose, Adaline Rae, and Jaxson Edward James.
His legacy lives on in the family he built, the values he instilled, and the love that will endure for generations.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:20 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of the Universe, 2443 Trenton Rd, Levittown, PA.
