Eleanor C. Bennett Eleanor C. Bennett passed away surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, September 9, 2014. She was 87. Born in Philadelphia, Eleanor was a long time resident of Lower Bucks County and was an original homeowner in the Quincy Hollow section of Levittown. Eleanor worked as a waitress for over 20 years, spending most of her career at Seafood Shanty. She loved many things in her life, but her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family. In addition she also enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching her favorite TV shows, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Dear wife of the late William V., and beloved mother of William V. Jr. (Karen), Jeff Bennett, Linda Wilson (Jack) and Susan (Bill) Woodroffe, Eleanor was the loving Gram of Amanda, Katie, Bill Jr., Michael, Brandon, Kristen, Jason and Justin and cherished Nana of Brandon Jr., Jack and Jason. She is also survived by her brother, Michael Laughlin (Jorgeanne) and many nieces and nephews. Eleanor was predeceased by her 4 sisters and 3 brothers. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, from 12:00 until 1:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
