Eleanor M. Hemphill Eleanor M. Hemphill died on Friday, August 13, 2010 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. She was 81. Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, the daughter of the late Mary and Peter Selenak, she has been a Lower Bucks County resident since 1978. She was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Church. Until her retirement in 1986, Mrs. Hemphill was a secretary for the Department of Education for the State of New Jersey for twenty years. Beloved wife of the late Albert T., Mrs. Hemphill was the loving mother of Thomas A. and his wife, Veronica, of Grand Blanc, MI; Gary M. and his partner, Mavis Smith, of Solebury; and Jeanne Connelly and her husband, Michael, of Philadelphia and was the devoted grandmother of Sean, Kimberly, Marie, Ryan and Taylor. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, 6:30 until 8:30 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, 10:00 am at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown. Entombment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Trenton. There will be no calling hours on Wednesday morning. The family has requested that memorial contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society, Bux-Mont High Point Professional Building, 700 Horizon Circle, Suite 201, Chalfont, PA 18914 or to The American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
