Eleanor was born in Tomhicken, PA, to parents, John Gondira and Mary Falatko Gondira. She graduated from Saint Cyril Academy. Eleanor went on to establish a career as a bookkeeper, working for the New Jersey Department of Highways for over 20 years. Upon retiring, Eleanor served in the community as an aide in the Bristol Township School District at George Washington and Lafayette schools.
Eleanor was an active member of the Red Hat Society with her sister Anna, and enjoyed the many trips the group had to offer. Over the years she also enjoyed crocheting, ceramics and quilting. She volunteered her time by supporting St. Michael's church during their annual summer fair. Her donations of baked goods and working at the baked goods table during the fair was very much appreciated. In her free time, she enjoyed many trips to the area casinos with her husband of 70 years, Thomas R. Repetz.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Gondira, her sister and her husband Anna and Lawrence Clark, and son-in-Law Tony Sottile.
Eleanor is survived by her husband, Thomas R. Repetz, her children Gloria Repetz Sottile, Thomas and his wife Susan Repetz and Timothy and his wife Kathleen Repetz, her grandchildren; Kimberly, Amanda, Thomas W., Jessica, Timothy J., Kyle, Cory and many great grandchildren.
A memorial gathering for Eleanor will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 11 until 11:30 AM at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056 where a memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. Mark Cemetery.
