Elizabeth, affectionately known as Betts, was predeceased by her parents Adelaide and Horace Abbaticchio, as well as her brothers John, Martin, Robert, and sister Paula. Betts is survived by her spouse of 70 years, Richard, her three daughters Paula (Mike) Grim, Cynthia White, and Shelley (Ken) Koreyva, as well as her four grandchildren - Kyle Koreyva (Lindsey Dixon), Kelly Halliday, Dave White (Kate Pearce), and Allison White. She adored her two great-grandchildren, Kippin and Keegan Halliday. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, lovingly called “Taffy."
Betts was a long-term resident of Fairless Hills, PA. She proudly graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, PA, as part of the class of 1952. For over 20 years, Betts dedicated herself to work at the NJ Association of Osteopathic Physicians & Surgeons. She efficiently managed the day-to-day operations and successfully organized the annual convention.
One of Betts' passions was reconnecting with her high school classmates and attending numerous high school reunions. She was an expert seamstress, meticulously attending to every detail of every garment, home fashion, or craft she created. Her talents seemed endless. Additionally, Betts was an astute self-managed investor, seizing every opportunity to save for her retirement. Her lively and fun-loving spirit shone through as she immersed herself in her ladies workout group, creating personalized tee shirts for her friends' special events.
Betts greatly enjoyed going to the movies, plays, and shows. She cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, always supporting and attending their activities. She found immense joy in bringing smiles to the faces of those she was with.
Private services will be held under the thoughtful direction of the Dougherty Funeral Home at 2200 Trenton Road in Levittown, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Betts' memory to your preferred charity are greatly appreciated.
