

Elizabeth Joan Ritter, 90, passed away Wednesday, February 26th, 2025. She was surrounded by her close-knit family of children, Albert Ritter (Deborah), Elizabeth Davis (Kenneth), Linda Fields (John), and Laurie Bryner (Robert). Betty, as she was known to family and friends, was preceded in death in 2021 by her loving husband of 66 years, Albert Max Ritter.
Betty was an intelligent and creative person, and retained her mental awareness to the end of her life. Throughout her life, she was an avid reader and book club member, taught ceramics classes, volunteered with scouting organizations and the Bristol Senior Center, and recently began making greeting cards for family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards and dominoes with her friends, neighbors, and family. She was very proud of her large family and home, which was always decorated to celebrate seasonal holidays.
Betty leaves behind ten grandchildren who she saw grown and happily married; Albert Ritter (Melissa), Michael Ritter (Theresa), Deborah Glasson (Joseph), Brian Valentine (Tracy), Maria Valentine (Sean Le Blanc), Lauren Vile (Zackery), John Fields (Jessica), Joseph Fields (Alison), Edward Bryner (Rebecca), and Sarah Miller (Stefan). She currently has 17 great grandchildren who call her GG-Mom. She is also survived by her sister, Joan (James) McClaskey, and several close friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, March 4 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, 225 S. Bellevue Avenue, Penndel, where her funeral mass will be held at 11 am. The Rite of Committal will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.
