Born on March 2, 1947, in Freeport, New York, Gene was the proud son of the late Eugene D. Huxley Jr. and Ava Huxley (Taylor). In his youth, his family relocated to Pennsylvania, where Gene grew up alongside his siblings, forming bonds that lasted a lifetime. He was a proud graduate of Pennsbury High School, Class of 1967. Following high school, Gene built a career defined by reliability, hard work, and loyalty, spending over 25 years working for 3M in Bristol, Pennsylvania, until his retirement.

When he wasn’t answering the call of duty, Gene could most often be found embracing the freedom of the open road. He was a passionate Harley Davidson enthusiast who loved nothing more than the rumble of his motorcycle.
Gene was preceded in death by his beloved wife and the love of his life, Pamela Huxley, who passed away in 1998.
His is survived by his children: Kimberly Weiderhold (Warren), Debra DiDio (Thomas), Karen Wahl (Scott), and James Cherepko (Christina). He was the proud grandfather of six cherished grandchildren and was excited he was going to be great grandfather by years end. He is also survived by his siblings, Robert Huxley and Kathleen Huxley, as well as many extended family members and close friends.
