

Born in Trevose, PA on March 12, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Lenz and the late Letitia (Johnson) Lenz.
Evelyn grew up in Lower Bucks County and graduated from Neshaminy High School. After she became the matriarchal figure to four loving daughters. She also was the business partner for over thirty years with her husband. She engaged in several activities throughout her life including playing cards, trips to the casino, making crafts and baking. She also enjoyed tea parties with her granddaughter. Lancaster, PA and Bucks County, PA were places she often traveled to and enjoyed, especially at Christmastime. In addition, she frequently went camping in Denver, PA with friends and family. Evelyn was an avid bingo player and loved to complete puzzles. She was a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Phillies.
Evelyn will be dearly missed by her children; Debi Groves, Laura Alonso (Jeffery), Mary Calabrese (David) and Lisa Marie Bolger (Kenneth). She will be missed by her granddaughter, Alexandria Brehm (Nicholas MacDougall). Her brother-in-law, William Groves (Charlotte) will also miss her. She was the aunt to several nieces and nephews and step-grandchildren. Evelyn Brunner will cherish their life-long friendship.
Evelyn is predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Joseph Groves. She is predeceased by her siblings, Michael Lenz, Herbert Lenz and Anita Lenz Widitz as well.
A memorial service by James J. Dougherty Funeral Home of Levittown, PA will be conducted privately at the gravesite at Forest Hills Cemetery in Huntington Valley, PA.
