

Evelyn Kalapos, of Levittown, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Chandler Hall Hospice following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 85. Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, Mrs. Kalapos moved to the Magnolia Hill section of Bristol Township and later moved to the Forsythia Gate section of Middletown Township where she has resided for the past 53 years. She was employed with Educational Testing Service in Princeton, NJ for over 20 years until retiring as a Senior Administrative Assistant in 1999. She was an avid Phillies fan. She also enjoyed gardening, reading and using her computer. Mrs. Kalapos was the beloved wife of the late John C. Kalapos. She was the loving mother of Dawn S. Piacentino and her husband Tom of Langhorne and John C. Kalapos and his companion Patricia Dopson of Newtown. She was the devoted grandmother of Kelly, Alexander, Kenneth (Erica) and Thomas and the great grandmother of Dominick. She will also be sadly missed by her sisters Anna Durkee of Trenton, NJ and Catherine Holmes of Levittown, her sister-in-law Elsie Lawrence of Robbinsville, NJ and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by several of her brothers and sisters. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday from 9:00 until 10:30 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. where her funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Trenton, NJ.
