Born to John and Grace Roberts, Florence was a graduate of Frankford High School. From an early age, she displayed determination, independence, and a quiet strength that would carry her through life. She went on to become the store manager of a large drug store, an impressive accomplishment during a time when few women held leadership roles. Her work ethic, intelligence, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who worked alongside her.
Florence’s true joy, however, was her family. She was the heart of every gathering — the one everyone turned to for advice, laughter, or simply a listening ear. Known for her humor, honesty, patience, and thoughtfulness, she was a confidant to all who knew her.
She loved vacations at the beach and was the family travel agent, organizing trips from beginning to end and making sure every detail was perfect. Florence had a natural curiosity and a sharp mind. She was amazing on the computer, always learning something new, and loved trying new recipes to share with those she loved.
Florence faced life’s challenges with bravery and grace, right up to the very end. Her selflessness, warmth, and gentle spirit defined her life and touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was the devoted wife of the late Michael J. McCue and the proud mother of Dawn McCue, Michael McCue (deceased), Deborah McCue, Lori Fissinger, Mark McCue (Jen), Anthony McCue, Scott McCue (Lisa), and Lisa Brydzinski (Ralph). She was the cherished grandmother of Troy, Timothy (Ali), Denim (Kevin), Brandy (James), Chas, David, Marie, Alissa, ,Emie and two step grandchildren, Candice and Stephen. Florence is also survived by her sister Gloria Grieb (Bill, deceased), her brother John Roberts Jr., and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved her dearly.
Florence will be remembered for her unwavering love, her quick wit, and the way she made everyone feel valued and understood. Her legacy lives on in the family she built, the lives she touched, and the memories that will forever fill their hearts.
