Frank J. Byrne

Frank J. "Captain" Byrne of Bristol Township PA, passed on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at home. He was 72.Born in Philadelphia, Frank was a 1962 Father Judge graduate. He has resided in Levittown for the past 38 years. He was a US Navy veteran serving during the Vietnam war era.Frank was an avid Penn State Nittany Lions fan.Husband of beloved wife Mel McCann Byrne who passed on November 2, 2005. Loving father of Timothy F. Byrne and Jeffrey F. Byrne. Devoted grandfather of Ashley Rae Byrne & Victoria O'Malley Byrne. Will be sadly missed by his sisters Jean and Teresa; niece Bridget Detweiler Rehfuss and his daughter-in-law Kelly Rich Byrne.Family and friends are invited to call from 12 until 1 p.m. on Friday, October 28 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Following the interment, friends are invited to the Happy Hour bar in Levittown to continue the celebration of Frank's life.
