

Frederick "Fred" Elmer Rase Jr., a beloved and devoted individual, passed away unexpectedly at home on December 3, 2025, at the age of 65. He was born to parents Frederick and Bernice Rase in Philadelphia, PA. Fred was known for his hard-working nature, his humorous spirit, and his kind-hearted demeanor.
Fred attended Roxborough High School, where he laid the foundation for a life dedicated to hard work and family. He spent his career as a steelworker for the state of Pennsylvania, a testament to his industrious and committed nature.
Fred is preceded in death by his wife, Judith Rase; his father, Frederick E. Rase Sr.; his mother, Bernice M. Rase (Speech); and his sister, Helen Weitzman (Joseph).
Fred is survived by his loving family, including his children Stephanie Rase (Derek Atkinson), Stephen Rase (Tracy Osborne), Christine Rase (Andrew Passivo), and Nicole Rase (Patrick Prate). He was a proud grandfather to Arieana and Dominic Ausevich, Stella, and Alexander, Caitlyn Rase; Carter Jayden, Jayson Prate; Samantha and Kyle Osborne; He is also remembered by his brother, William Rase, and his sister, Rose Rase. Fred leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nephews, who will cherish his memory.
Fred's life will be honored privately by his family, reflecting the personal and intimate nature of his relationships with those he loved.
