George Robert Bell

George Robert Bell Sr. of Bensalem died on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at St. Mary Medical Center. He was 87.Born in Bristol, George was a long time resident of Langhorne and Summerfield, FL before moving to Bensalem 2 years ago.George honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1950 until 1954. He was a member of Eddington Presbyterian Church. George was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Flyers fan. Mr. Bell is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Shirley J. (nee Tyler) Bell. He is the loving father of George Robert Bell Jr. (Karen), Donna Jean Shema, Randall Bell (Linda), Danial Bell (Megan) and David Bell (Sharon. He is the devoted grandfather of Mark and Brett Bell, Ryan and Rhiannon (Chad Blatt) Shema,, Ian and Kyle Bell, Erin Bell, A.J. Diberio, Lindsay and Jack Dobrowsky, Danial and Torianne Bell, Ashley Wittmer (Dustin), Delaney Nicole Bell, Bill, Connor, Erin and Kerrigan Daily and great grandfather of Coriline Bell and Taylor and Abigail Wittmer. He was preceded in death by his grandson Matthew Paul Shema. Son of the late Pearl Anna and William Bell, George is survived by his brother, Marvin Bell (Barbara). Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday, January 24th from 11 am to 1 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd. Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 1 pm. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
