
George F. (Bud) LeNoir, of Levittown, died on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at St. Mary Medical Center. He was 82. Born in Philadelphia, Bud has been a resident of Levittown for the past 58 years. Upon retiring, Bud enjoyed volunteering with Meals on Wheels. He was employed as a splicer and lineman for Pennsylvania Bell Telephone for 40 years until retiring in 1992. Bud was an Army veteran of Korea. He was one of the original members of the Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad. Bud was very active at St. Joseph the Worker parish in it's early years serving as an usher and with the Holy Name Society. He also served as a Little League coach and a Boy Scout troop leader while his children were growing up. Bud was the beloved husband of Margaret (Stanton) LeNoir for 60 years. He was the loving father of Patricia Olszewski and her husband Joseph, George F. LeNoir, Jr. and his wife Rosemarie, Margaret "Peggy" Grossjung and her husband Bart, Guy LeNoir and his wife Kathy and Jeffrey LeNoir and his wife Kathleen. He was the brother of Russell LeNoir, Anna May Cesare, Helen Wilson and the late Francis LeNoir, Estelle Miller and Jean Egan. He will be sadly missed by 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 325 S. Oxford Valley Rd., Fairless Hills where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Family and friends are also invited to assemble on Monday, 1:30 p.m. on the parking lot at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown for a procession to Washington Crossing National Cemetery where Rite of Committal will take place at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Medical Center, 1250 Langhorne Newtown Rd., Langhorne, PA 19047.
