George C. Shelton Jr.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, son of the late Verna M. (Hadfield) and George C. Shelton Sr., George was a 1980 graduate of Mercy Vocational Technical High School. He has resided in Levittown for the past 32 years.

Until his retirement, George was employed as a Warehouseman with Ford-Visteon of Lansdale and Worchester for 26 years. After retiring he began working part-time for Hughes Sunoco in Levittown, where he was employed for 13 years and also with Firmenich Corporation in Princeton for nearly 10 years.

George was a skilled woodworker, enjoyed camping with his family and friends and was a life long Eagles fan.

Beloved husband of nearly 35 years to Sandra M. (Friedrich), George is the loving father of Melissa Shelton and her fiancé, Michael Donohue and his son, Anthony and Rachel Shelton and her companion, Ian Anderson.

He will also be sadly missed by his sisters, Regina A. Lowell (late Calvin H.) and Carol A. Evangelista (Joseph); brother-in-law, Allan McAllister; his beloved best friend, "Sparky"; several nieces, nephews and extended family.

George was predeceased by his sister, Marion McAllister.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, March 15, 2019, from 6:30 until 8:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 8:00 pm. Interment will be held privately.
