

It is with great sadness that the family of Gerald (Jerry) M. Ellis announce that Jerry passed away on February 15, 2022. He was 85. He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Dorothea L. Ellis, and his best friend of over 60 years, Thomas Van Horn III.
Jerry was a long-time resident of Bucks County and attended Neshaminy High School. After High School, Jerry honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a successful self-employed businessman and owner of G.M. Ellis Industrial Maintenance Inc. He is a 32nd degree Mason and longtime member of Bristol Lodge No. 25.
He is survived by three daughters, Deborah Ferry (Steve), Judith Weiser, and Sharon Hoffman (Stephen); three grandchildren Alicia DeFrancesco (Frank), Stephanie Blevins (Keith) and Reggie Weiser Jr.; two brothers, James Ellis (Mary) and Jeffrey Ellis (Cheryl); a sister-in-law Patricia Woll, two brother-in-law's Phillip Lewis (Laura) and Dr. Donald Lewis (Ann), along with many nieces and nephews.
He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and loved his family and friends dearly. His interests were carpentry, aviation, reading his morning newspaper and doing his daily crossword puzzles, fixing anything he could, and helping anyone that needed him. He deeply loved flying and was a licensed pilot, spending countless hours up in the clouds, and seeing the world for all its beauty. Jerry touched countless lives and will be deeply missed by all that knew him. He has joined his loving wife and best friend in Heaven.
Family and friends are invited to attend a family and Masonic funeral service on Friday, April 1, 2022, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown.
Interment service will be private at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, Pa.
