It’s sad to learn of Zelly’s passing.  I enjoyed last seeing him and Rookie at a July 4 barbecue at cousin Howie’s about 4 or 5 years ago.  More recently we had somehow become Friends on Facebook, where he posted many amusing items and where, earlier this year, we exchanged messages about how sad he felt in January — a month he associated with several losses — and about our health problems.  Overall, I’ll always remember him as an easygoing cheerful person.  

Pop, you are truly going to be missed here in our house. It was a pleasure to have known you for the past four years and I appreciate all of your hospitality. I was very lucky to have found Whytney and you approved of our togetherness. I loved you for that. You were never judging or unfriendly towards me and I enjoyed having you as a grandfather figure. I was very young when my only grandfather that I got to meet passed away but you helped fill that void. I honored how much you loved your children/grandchildren and tried to give them the world. You inspired me to provide that for my future grandkids and future family as well. I know there's a special spot waiting for you in heaven.  We love and miss you. Love and honor always.

I was very sad to learn of my Cousin Zelly's passing. He was three years older than me.  I have wonderful childhood memories of the family visits to Philly for Thanksgiving and other times. I remember playing with Zelly, the two of us crawling under the dinner table together. He was a gentle and good-natured soul, a solid, moral person. The world would be a better place were there more people like him. And I remember his sense of humor too. It is truly sad to lose someone who was so kind and good and who could be happy with the simple, basic things in life. In later years I didn't see my cousin as much as I would have liked, but am thankful to have attended his son Daniel's wedding, of which I am happy to have recorded a video. And I saw him more recently and for the last time at our Cousin Howard's house, several years ago. Bye Zelly, thank you for leaving me with these golden memories of times past.

Always a "happy, positive guy", usually with a smile on his face.  I liked him a lot and will miss him a lot.

    Gerry was a beautiful soul. He became family sixteen years ago when he  met my sister Kathy. They made each   other so very happy. Thoughts and prayers go out to Daniel and Michael at this time. Zelly was sometimes playfully funny.He was sometimes quiet and calm.But he was always, always kind.Just a really nice guy.

Jerry was a kind-hearted soul. He cared for many and will be greatly missed. Hold dear the memories and know that he loved you all.

I love you and I hope you know how much I appreciate everything you did for me in my life.  I know I wouldn't be where I am today without all of your love and support.  It still doesn't seem real that you're gone.  Through your example I learned what it means to love your wife, and I try to show that same level of commitment to my wife.  And in your life you had two great loves, first my mom, Jamie and then Kathy.  Your compassion and patience that you showed your children over the years still leaves me amazed.  Thank you for everything and I'll miss you!
