
Gordon Parker Gordon Parker of Bensalem, died on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown. He was 85. Born in Philadelphia in 1925, Gordon was the son of the late Elizabeth (nee Archibald) and Victor Paciocco. He was a resident of Levittown for 50 years, and resided in Bensalem for the past 6 years. Gordon was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. In 1951 he graduated from Temple University and began his career in journalism. He worked with the North Penn Reporter in Lansdale, the Bucks County Courier Times, and the Trenton Times newspapers. Gordon was also employed as a journalist with the New Jersey Department of Human Services and the Sheet Metal Contractors Association. Mr. Parker was the loving brother of Victor, who preceded him in death in World War II. Gordon was the beloved husband of Joan (nee Shay) for 58 years and the father of Sandra Parker and Victor Parker and his wife Vicki. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Megan and Timothy and his sister Alma Shollenberger and her husband Edmund. Family and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Levittown & Fairless Hills, 6131 Emilie Road, Levittown, PA 19057. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church at the address listed above or to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
