

Grace E. Lavan Grace E. Lavan died on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Aria Health Bucks Campus. She was 87. Born in Pittston, and formerly of Johnson City, NY, Mrs. Lavan has been a Falls Township resident for the past 57 years. She was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, Fallsington. Her primary love in life was that of her entire family. Mrs. Lavan enjoyed reading and will be remembered as a caring and giving person who would offer her love and home to those in need. She enjoyed Irish music, singing, dancing and the love of animals. Beloved wife of the late Robert G. Lavan, Sr. and great grandmother of the late Byron Nethery, Jr., Mrs. Lavan is survived by her loving children, Judy A. Bixler (Jay) of Bristol Boro, Robert G., Lavan, Jr. (Sandra) of Levittown, Mary Grace Hauler (Thomas) of Jamison and Francis P. Lavan (Dawn) of Levittown; her grandchildren, Taneil Sharkey, Christopher Lavan, Dana and Bonnie Bixler, Francis P. Lavan Jr. and Myra Hassinger; her great grandchildren, Shauna Nethery, Olivia and Sophia Sharkey and Francis P. Lavan, III and her sister, Anne Hoban of Levittown. She will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, 8:15 until 9:15 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am at Saint Joseph the Worker Church followed by Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery. The family has requested that memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Bucks County S.P.C.A., PO Box 277, Lahaska, PA 18931.
