

Gregory S. Stricker Gregory S. Stricker, was called home to the Lord suddenly on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the age of 48. Born in Philadelphia at Albert Einstein Medical Center on March 8, 1963, Greg later moved to Bristol, PA where he attended Saint Thomas Aquinas School and was a 1982 graduate of Bishop Egan High School. While at Bishop Egan High School, Greg played on the hockey team where he had often told stories of his happy memories of the bonds of brotherhood that were formed with his team mates. He later moved to Reading, PA where he was the Director of Operations for many years at the Lentz Milling Company. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, Flyers and Eagles and enjoyed attending games. He also had a love for the beach and spent many vacations in Myrtle Beach, SC and Florida. Mr. Stricker is survived by his loving children Shelby Anne and Gregory Francis Stricker and their mother Joanne Stricker, his parents, George Stricker and Florence Stricker. He will also be sadly missed by his brothers George (Kathleen), Gerald (Susan), and Glenn (Sandra) Stricker and his sister Patricia (Michael) Reiman. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, co-workers and friends, including Lesley Paxon. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown followed by Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery. There will be no calling hours on Thursday morning. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to the Gregory Stricker Children's Education Fund in care of the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., at the above address. Greg was an organ donor and upon his passing donated his corneas so that someone else could see the beauty of God's creation.
