Harold SlatkyHarold "Red" Slatky died on Monday, February 1, 2016 at Chandler Hall in Newtown. He was 86.Born and raised in Nanticoke, PA, Red moved to Middletown Township and became an original homeowner in Levittown where he had resided for the last 59 years. He was a member of .Queen of the Universe Parish.Until his retirement in 1987, Red was employed as a Pourer at US Steel, Fairless Works, Open Hearth Division for 33 years.He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War.Red is the beloved husband of nearly 60 years to Leona C. (Ksiazkiewicz). He will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews.Services and interment will be held privately.
