Hazel E. May McLaughlin

Hazel Elva May McLaughlin died on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Manor Care in Yardley. She was 86. Born in Plymouth, PA, where she graduated from Plymouth High School, Mrs. McLauglin has been a resident of Levittown since 1958. Mrs. McLaughlin served as a Girl Scout Leader for many years. She enjoyed gardening, reading and she also enjoyed looking for good garage sales. She was a member of the Humane Society and the Veteran of Foreign Wars. She had a kind heart and was very involved in her community. Hazel was preceded in death by her beloved husband and high school sweetheart James G. McLaughlin, Sr., her parents Hazel and Albert May and her brothers Albert, Arthur and Frederick (Ted) May She leaves behind her son James G. McLaughlin, Jr., his wife Debbie and grandchildren James G. III and Katie of Levittown; daughter Cindy May McLaughlin and grandchildren Amanda May and William T. Kee of Rhode Island; several nieces and nephews and her former son-in-law William G. Kee. Family and friends are invited to call Sunday from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. and Monday from 9 until 10 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
