Heather M. Safee Heather M. Safee went home to the Lord on Sunday, October 27, 2013. She had just turned 34. Born in Bristol, on September 21, 1979 she has been a life-long resident of Lower Bucks County. She was a 1999 graduate of Pennsbury High School and was employed with Metz Culinary Management. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Miriam Gunkel and maternal grandparents, Joseph and Dolores Micklas. Beloved wife of nearly 11 years to Kirk A. Safee, Jr. Adoring mother of Destiny Leigh and Steven Blake Safee. Precious daughter of Mark and Joann D. (Micklas) Gunkel. Dearest sister of Joanne Gunkel Garman, Mark D. (Heather) and Michael W. Gunkel. She was the loving granddaughter of William Gunkel. Also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and friends who loved and will dearly miss her. Heather was blessed with a gentle spirit and a beautiful smile. Her love for her family and devotion to her husband and children were immeasurable. She cherished them above all else. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, from 6:00 until 9:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown and on Monday, from 9:30 until 10:30 am at Saint Joseph the Worker Church, 9172 New Falls Road, Fallsington, where her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, at 10:30 am. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for her children's education, Contributions can be sent to Wells Fargo, 499 South Oxford Valley Road, Fairless Hills, PA 19030, payable to Destiny or Steven Safee.
