Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Pizza was an original homeowner in the Pinewood Section of Levittown. She was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish, since 1952, where she was involved in many church activities over the years. She worked at the Saint Mike's Fair selling tickets and donated baked goods to be sold at the fair every year.
Helen was good at sewing and cooking. She was an even better baker, baking peach pies in the summer and putting up peaches for the winter. She would make homemade cream puffs for family and friends' weddings. Her family especially enjoyed her pineapple upside down cake, cheesecake, and also her homemade pizza pie.
Helen was proud of the fact that she was the only one in her family to graduate from high school.
Helen completely shocked her husband when she dove off the "high dive" at the Pinewood Pool in the 1960's.
Helen never hesitated to help her neighbors when needed.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph J., Mrs. Pizza was the loving mother of Joseph M. (Lynda), Mary L. Pizza Cordisco, Michael T. (Cathy) and Theresa Davenport.
Mrs. Pizza was predeceased by her parents, Amato and Nancy (Mongellizo) Juliano, and her siblings, Mary, Margaret, Michael, Joseph, Angelo, Philomena and Grace.
She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Joseph and Raymond Pizza (Bonnie), Kathryn Axt (Christopher), Jennifer Stopford (James), Sean Moran (Amanda), Cody Pizza, Denise Hite, Brandon Foster and Taylor Smith; her ten great grandchildren; her sister-in-law Rita Senderoff; and many special nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 9:00 until 10:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 at Holy Trinity Church, 201 N. Pennsylvania Avenue, Morrisville, followed by the Rite of Committal in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
