Hubert H. "Herb" Schwank

Hubert H. "Herb" Schwank of Philadelphia died on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at his home. He was 85.Mr. Schwank has been a lifetime resident of Philadelphia.  He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.He spent hours working on his garden and helping his family plant their own. He enjoyed reading and building model airplanes in his spare time and was able to build or fix anything with his hands.He will be remembered as a very patient and loving family man. His family was everything.Mr. Schwank is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Adelaide M. (DeGregorio). He is the loving father of Adelaide Kelly (Joseph), Jacqueline Mansfield and the late Gregory S. Schwank and the devoted grandfather of Melanie North (Brent), Alexandria Kelly and Isabella Mansfield. He will also be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.Relatives and friends will be received from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday April 26, 2017, at Our Lady of Calvary Church, 11024 Knights Rd., Philadelphia, 19154 where his funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will take place Thursday April 27, 2017, 10 a.m. precisely, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, 18940. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
