Irma I. Binns

Irma I. Binns (nee Walsh), died on August 22, 2010 at Vitas Hospice Care at Frankford Hospital in Philadelphia at the age of 75. A longtime resident of Philadelphia, Irma was a credit manager at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children for 35 years before retiring in 1996. She was an avid animal lover. Irma was a member of St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church and served as a lector there. She was also a volunteer for the Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity at their Cenacle on Solly Avenue for many years. Mrs. Binns was the beloved wife of the late Robert T. Binns, Sr. She was the loving mother of Joseph G. (Regina), John (Linda) and the late Robert T. Jr. (Barbara). She will be sadly missed by her 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 8:30 to 10:00 AM at St. Bernard's Church, Cottage Street and Bleigh Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19136 where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM.
