Israel Rivera

Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, and formerly of New Hope and Lower Bucks County, Mr. Rivera has been a current resident of Puerto Rico since 2016, residing in the home he built himself.

He was employed with General Electric, Trenton, NJ for many years; Village 2 at New Hope, PA; and Ditchman Car and Truck Country, Flemington, NJ.

Mr. Rivera was a former director of the Lambertville, NJ Little League. He loved the outdoors.

A hardworking man, there was nothing he could not fix. He will be remembered as great family man.

Beloved husband of 49 years to Rosalia (Leon), Mr. Rivera is the loving father of Israel Rivera Jr. (Margaret Ann Kampa-Rivera) of Bensalem; and the devoted grandfather of Christopher and Kathleen Rivera also of Bensalem.

He is the brother of Belen, Carlos (Ada), Silvia (Johnny), Emma, Bienvenido (Ilsa), Reinaldo, Wilson, Eric (Maryann), Efrain (Cleuza), and Wilfrido; brother-in-law of Mariano Leon, Carmen Iris (Jesus), Guillermo Leon (Toni), Julia Cruz (Tino) and Pedro Leon; and son-in-law of Vicenta Cruz Garcia of Mauabo, PR.

Mr. Rivera will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, Carlos and Gloria Rivera; his sister Margarita Rivera; father-in-law, Inocencio Leon Lopez; and brother-in-law, Carlos Leon.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, March 11, 2019, from 6:00 until 7:00 pm at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm. Interment will be held privately.
