Ivadelle T. O'Connor

Ivadelle O'ConnorIvy O'Connor passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 85 years old.While raising her family, Ivy worked at Thiokol, Middletown Country Club and Saint Mary Medical Center where she retired from in 1994.Ivy spent many years as a member and a volunteer with the Middletown Senior Center. She was also the founding Queen Mum of the Middletown Red Hatters whom she loved dearly. Most recently the focus of Ivy's life was providing loving care for her good friend Harry Keaton.Ivy is the beloved wife of the late Reginald and loving mother of the late Sean. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Aletha Seifert and Ivan Joannis.Ivy is survived by her daughter Wendy Adler and son-in-law, Joseph and Kerry (Knox) Richards and son-in-law, Marc.She is the grandmother of Patrick Adler (Suzette), Adrienne Stanick (John), MaryBeth McLallen (Mike), Ryan Knox (Courtney), Victoria Jeffers (Mike), Eric Knox (Joelle) and Daniel Adler (Gema); the great grandmother of Jack, CJ, Liam, Jason, Elliot, Brian, Sebastian, Lula, Julia, Seamus and Gael; and the sister of Marlene Tanner (James) and Donald Joannis (Barbara).Ivy will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 7:00 until 9:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Family and friends may also call on Saturday, from 9:30 until 10:30 am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 am.
