
Jacob L. Weiman Jacob L. Weiman "The Professor of Rock and Roll" died on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Chandler Hall Hospice after a long illness. He was 66. Mr. Weiman was a former Lower Bucks County Boxing Champion and wrestled for Pennsbury High School. He loved history and music. He was the owner and head disc jockey for Solid Gold Entertainment. He donated much of his time with Easter Seals, the American Heart Association and music for fundraisers. Mr. Weiman is the loving father of the late Jacob R. Weiman, Kimberly Shelton (David) of MO, Karol Woolley (Thomas) of Fairless Hills and Jeffrey Weiman (Michele) of Levittown and the devoted grandfather of Gina and Ronald DiCicco, Audrey and Ethan Woolley, Jacob Weiman, Sarah Douglas, Richard and Amanda McFarland and great grandfather of Gianna Malina, Westin Douglas, Haylie McFarland. He will also be sadly missed by his sister, Charlotte Weiman, his brothers, Paul Weiman, Bob and George Bergner, his life long and dear friends, Arlene Greenhough and her husband, James and Sherri Kelly Stanco. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown 19056 where his funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm. Interment will be private. The family has requested that memorial contributions in his name be made to VH1 Save the Music Foundation at www.VH1SavetheMusic.com or to Chandler Hall Hospice, 99 Barclay Street, Newtown, PA 18940 c/o Andrea McCabe. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Chandler Hall Hospice, Dr. Ostrovsky and Dr. Kenneth Rothstein and Clinton J. Lewis Elks Lodge for the care and compassion they gave to Mr. Weiman during his brave battle with cancer. May his music forever live in our hearts.
