Jacqueline Mary Callan (née Filoon), a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at her home in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, on Monday, July 20, 2026, at the age of 77. Surrounded by the love of her family in her final moments, Jacqueline left this world as she lived her life—with grace, strength, and an unwavering love for those she cherished most.
Born on November 1, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Jacqueline was the daughter of John and Eleanor Filoon. Although she was born in Philadelphia, she was raised in Bucks County, where she developed lifelong friendships and deep roots in the community. She remained in Bucks County throughout her adult life, where she raised her family and built a home centered on love, loyalty, and devotion. Throughout the years, she also treasured the countless memories she made at the Jersey Shore, a place that remained close to her heart from childhood through adulthood.
Jacqueline was a proud graduate of Bishop Conwell High School. Over the course of her career, she held a variety of positions, each reflecting her strong work ethic and determination. She concluded her professional career at Microtronics, where she worked in the manufacturing of computer chips.
More than any career accomplishment, Jacqueline's greatest joy was her family. She was fiercely loyal to those she loved and never hesitated to advocate for what she believed was right. Whether offering guidance, defending someone in need, or simply listening with compassion, she approached every situation with thoughtfulness, wisdom, and quiet strength. Her family always knew they had someone they could count on without question, and her steadfast love became the foundation upon which generations of her family will continue to build.
Jacqueline found joy in tending her garden, celebrating holidays surrounded by loved ones, and creating lasting memories with her family. Her happiest moments were those spent with her children and grandchildren, whose accomplishments, milestones, and everyday moments brought her immeasurable pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Brian Callan; her father, John Filoon; her mother, Eleanor Filoon; her stepmother, Sonia Filoon; and her brother, Paul Filoon.
Jacqueline is lovingly remembered by her children: Brian Edward Callan and his wife, Angela; Shannon Catherine Leyton and her husband, Jeff; and Michael Sean Callan. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Aidan, Leah, Brendan, and Bridget, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to her life. She is also survived by her siblings, Robert Filoon, John Filoon, and Ruth Alamia, along with many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA.
Her greatest legacy is not found in what she accomplished, but in the family she loved so completely. Her strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion will live on in each of them, and her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
