James Frederick Carr Sr.

James was born in Philadelphia, PA, to parents, Frederick and Dorothy (Whalen). He graduated from Father Judge High School. James had a long career as a bus driver for Septa for over 45 years. In addition, Mr. Carr served in the Vietnam War as a respected war veteran in the Army.

He was a man that cared about his family, was a loving husband, and ultimately cared for his wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling with his family and dining out with his wife.

James was preceded in death by his wife Carol (Meenan), his daughter Heather Carr. Also by his parents Fred and Dorothy, his sister Pat and brother Al.

James is survived by children, James Jr. (Shannon), Shawn and grandchildren Nick, Jake, Jenna, and Jordyn. James is also survived by his sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Ephrem Church, 5400 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM, and burial following mass, at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, Pennsylvania 19020.
