James Richard Creighton, Sr.

James Richard Creighton, Sr. James Richard Creighton, Sr. died on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Saint Mary Medical Center. He was 71. Born and raised in the Lower Kensington section of Philadelphia, the son of the late Mary (Buck) and James Boyd Creighton, he has been a Middletown Township resident for the past thirty six years. He was a member of Queen of the Universe Parish. Mr. Creighton was a produce manager for the former A & P and then with Shop n' Bag in Philadelphia for many years, retiring in 2000. Beloved husband of Linda B. (Gindhart) for forty-four years, Mr. Creighton is the loving father of Marlena Hartkorn (Richard) of Bensalem, James R., Jr. (Christine) of Levittown, Rick T. (Jacquelin) of Levittown and Jeffrey S. (Gina) of Dennis County, NJ and the devoted grandfather of Danielle, Ashley, Cole, Julia, CJ, Tyler, Eileen, Scott and Jessica and the great grandfather of Jaiden. He will also be sadly missed by his brothers, Richard, Frank and Robert all of Philadelphia, Thomas of New Jersey, his sister-in-law, Judith Hillgrube (Theodore) of Philadelphia and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, 9:00 until 10:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Queen of the Universe Church, 2243 Trenton Road, Levittown followed by Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made in his name to Langhorne Dialysis Center, 880 Town Center Drive, Langhorne, PA 19047.
