James P. Gibbons

James P. Gibbons James P. Gibbons died on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Lower Bucks Hospital, Bristol. He was 80. Born and raised in the Fairmont Park Section of Philadelphia, the son of the late James and MaryAnne (McNulty) Gibbons, and formerly of Westville Grove, NJ, he has resided in Levittown for the past 47 years. Until his retirement in 1988, Mr. Gibbons was employed in Research and Development with Mobil Oil, Pennington, NJ for 38 years. He enjoyed golfing. Father of the late Patricia Anne Gibbons, Mr. Gibbons is survived by his beloved wife Beatrice M. (Schneider), with whom he would have celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary on New Year's Eve; his loving children, Michael, Kathleen, Suzanne, Joanne, Marianne, Thomas; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He also will be sadly missed by his brothers, Patrick and Peter, his sister Mary Roddy and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Anne Carroll. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, 8:00 until 9:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 am at Queen of the Universe Church followed by Rite of Committal in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
