Born in Butler, PA, Mr. Hockenberry moved to Bucks County at the age of 12 and attended Pennsbury High School. After graduating he proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps achieving the rank of Sergeant. He continued to be an avid supporter of the Military.
Mr. Hockenberry was employed in the Sheet and Tin Division of U.S. Steel for 35 years until retiring as a Supervisor and then served as a consultant in Jakarta, Indonesia for 5 years. He also worked for Chicago Steel and Certified Steel Corp.
Mr. Hockenberry was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers and will be fondly remembered for his spectacular vegetable garden.
Beloved husband of the late Marcella, he was the loving father of Denise Babin (Bryant) and James E. Jr.
He will also be missed by his sister, Helen Wagner and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
