A lifelong resident of Levittown, Jimmy lived with Friedreich’s Ataxia from birth. He outlived all three of his siblings who shared the disease which shows a true testament to his strength, resilience, and determination.
Jimmy was the kind of person who could make anyone laugh, even during life’s hardest moments. He had a sarcastic wit, a huge heart, and a way of bringing humor into every room he entered. He was incredibly intelligent, with a sharp mind and a memory for sports statistics, television shows, and random facts that always seemed to impress the people around him. He was an avid football fan and never missed a Philadelphia Eagles, Notre Dame, or Penn State game. He loved listening to music, watching TV, and most of all, being around the people he cared about. Though life was not always easy for him, he continued to live every single day with courage and heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Maureen Holland; his siblings Sally Holland, Maureen Holland, Kathleen DeSisto, and John Holland.
Jimmy is survived by his sisters Frances Glessner (Mike) and Christina Sanborn, along with his beloved nieces and nephews: Sean (Candice), Steven, Ryan, Julia, Liam, Shannon (Cody), and Dylan.
Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at 10:00 am on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown. The Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem. Calling hours will be from 9:00-10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jimmy’s name may be made to The Eagles Autism Foundation - One NovaCare Way, Philadelphia, PA 19145 (philadelphiaeagles.com).
