

James W. Hopkins, of Fairless Hills, died on Friday, March 23, 2012 at his home. He was 64. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mr. Hopkins formerly resided in Chalfont before moving to Fairless Hills 24 years ago. He attended St. Stanislaus Catholic School and then North Penn High School. Mr. Hopkins worked for the Pennsbury School District for 35 years. He was an avid fisherman and Harley Davidson rider who also enjoyed Penn State and Eagles football. Mr. Hopkins was the beloved husband of Janice L. (Hoch) for 24 years. He was the loving father of Leslie O'Brien and her husband Tim of Souderton, Nicole Hopkins and her friend Steve Coulter of North Wales, James W. Hopkins Jr. and his wife Kim of Lansdale, Phillip Stan III of Singapore, Brian Stan and his fianc Dawn Stowman of Holland, Eric Hopkins and Matthew Hopkins both of Fairless Hills. He was the devoted grandfather of Shae, Mishon, Trace, Cara, Madison and Aaliyah. He was the son of Dorothy Hopkins of Colmar and the late James Hopkins and was the brother of Cindy Diehl and her friend Ray Wilson of Bechtelsville. He will also be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown.
