

James T. Phillips went home to the Lord on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at his home, with his family by his side. He was 92.Born in Plymouth Township, Luzerne County, Mr. Phillips has been a longtime Lower Bucks County resident.Jim was a proud US Navy World War II veteran, having served during the Normandy Invasion. He served from 1943 until 1945 and some years later, Jim and his wife went back with fellow D-Day survivors to honor the memory of those lost in battle that day. He loved watching old war time movies and sharing his military experience with others. In his earlier years, he enjoyed traveling.Until his retirement, Jim was employed as an Electrician with US Steel.He loved animals, especially the Greyhounds, Leonard and Lucy.Beloved husband of the late Alberta T. (Stradzus), Jim is the loving father of Pamela Salvitty and her husband, Anthony.Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Thursday, February 16, 2017, at precisely, 2:30 pm at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, where he will be laid to rest with his late wife.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Veteran's Organization of th donor's choice.
