

Janice Weeks Bernath Janice Weeks Bernath, nee Hollenczer, age 68 died at home in Bordentown, NJ on Saturday July 4th, 2015 after a 2 year battle with cancer. Born on 17th September, 1946, in Glen Cove NY, she was the loving daughter of Helen Weeks Hollenczer and the late Steven Hollenczer. She is survived by Steven R. Bernath her husband of 38 years; her mother; brothers Steven Hollenczer Jr. (Helene) and Peter J. Hollenczer (Barbara) of Levittown Pa.; sister Margaret Spatafore, of York Pa;. and Aunt Dorothy Weeks of Oyster Bay NY. Janice is also survived by numerous cousins, many nephews, nieces and their children and long-time friend, Douglas Ewing of Red Hook NY. Janice is a 1964 graduate of Bishop Egan High School in Levittown, where she grew up. An artist in many mediums, she worked with the late Edward Marshall Boehm in his Trenton studio as a decorator of fine porcelain sculptures. An avid reader, Janice enjoyed painting, weaving, sculpting, knitting, photography, gardening, genealogy and caring for her many pet rescues. Family and friends may call on Monday, July 13, 2015, from 9:30 until 10:30 am, at Immaculate Conception Church, 5201 Emilie Road, Levittown, where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers please donate to your local animal rescue.
