Janice Louise Miroballi, 83, of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, following a courageous journey with dementia. She is now with her angels, and she will be missed more than words can express.
Born on May 2, 1943, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Janice was the daughter of the late Robert F. Roth and Mary Lou (Swartz) Roth. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John A. Miroballi; her sons, Michael and Daniel Miroballi; her grandson, Robert Synnott; and her great-granddaughter, Evelyn Iris. She is survived by her children, Michael Edwards (Laura) and Robert Edwards (Jayne); her grandchildren, Ryan Edwards, Ashley Smeck (Stephen), Christina Synnott, Steven Meyer (Courtney), Brooke Edwards (John), and Emily Adalbert (Ryan); her great-grandchildren, Kamren, August, Bentley, Lilyana, Briella, and Edie; her brother, Michael Roth; her nieces, Michele Kellye, Stephanie Roth, and Christa Papcunik; as well as many extended family members and dear friends.
Above all, Janice always put family first. Her home was a reflection of her heart, adorned with pictures of loved ones and featuring candy dishes in every room that were always full and ready to share. She ensured that everyone who walked through her doors felt deeply loved and valued. Janice always made time for others and made sure no one was ever forgotten. She continued to love those she had lost just as fiercely as those still by her side. Her greatest joy was simply being with her family, and she made every moment count.
Janice loved to sing from the time she was a young girl. Her voice was so beautiful that classmates wrote about it in her Johnstown High School yearbook, and her family was blessed to hear her sing for decades. She adored Elvis Presley, right down to the Elvis clock hanging on her wall, but she was just as happy singing along to modern songs with her grandchildren. Whether known as Mom, Sis, Aunt or Grammy, she had a special gift for turning an ordinary afternoon into a lifelong memory.
Janice spent her professional years working as a teller at Wells Fargo. However, she spent her happiest days shopping to spoil the people she loved and caring for animals, a lifelong passion. Selfless, giving, and possessing the biggest heart, she was also incredibly funny. She always spoke her mind and stood up for what was right. As anyone who knew her could attest, her language could be as colorful as her vibrant personality, always managing to make her loved ones laugh on even the hardest of days.
A devoted Christian, Janice was guided by her faith in everything she did. Though life asked a great deal of her, she met every challenge with an unwavering strength and resilience. Through it all, she continued to welcome, forgive, and care for others. The unconditional love, laughter, and kindness she shared will live on in all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, July 13, 2026, at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, located at 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., immediately followed by a memorial service. Interment will take place afterward at Beechwood Cemetery in Bensalem.
