Jeanne M. Colpo

Jeanne M. Colpo died on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Neshaminy Manor in Warrington. She was 86.Born in New Brunswick, NJ, Mrs. Colpo grew up in Penndel and was a graduate of Langhorne High School.She was a devoted Catholic and member of Queen of the Universe Parish, in Levittown, where she lived for over forty years.Jeanne was employed as a legal secretary until her retirement.Jeanne was a self-taught seamstress. She proudly made her own clothes, some of her children's clothes, costumes, curtains, and drapes for her home. Jeanne also enjoyed cross stitch, baking, and she made some mean short ribs!Jeanne liked to read and especially enjoyed biographies. She volunteered her time at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. She loved babies and being a Grandmom.In earlier years, she and her late husband, Joseph, were members of the Elks Lodge. They enjoyed dancing and time with friends.Beloved wife of 66 years to the late Joseph A., Mrs. Colpo is the loving mother of Darrell Colpo, Dyan Lekan (Greg), Donna Schneider (Jeff), Juliane Mangiarelli (Michael) and Ted Colpo (Jolene). She is the devoted grandmother of 10 and will also be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Hastings.Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 8:30 until 10:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.Memorial contributions in Mrs. Colpo's name may be made to Neshaminy Manor, 1660 S. Easton Road, Warrington, PA 18976.
