Jenny Thornton

A lifelong resident of Levittown, she graduated from Pennsbury High School in 1980 and dedicated much of her career to nurturing young minds. First as a mother and subsequently at Little People Daycare.

Jenny loved vacationing at the beach with her family and friends, creating lasting memories. She had a passion for decorating, especially during the holidays, and enjoyed sharing that passion with her grandchildren. Jenny found immense joy in her role as Gee-Gee, cherishing every moment spent with her seven grandchildren. Her family was her world.

Jenny will be missed by her husband, David Alexander Thornton; children, Ryan (Amy), Sean (Jessica), and Cole (Alexandrea); grandchildren, Hunter, Freya, Kinley, Owen, Liam, Peyton, and Cole Jr.; and her mother, Joyce LaRue Verillo (nee Brown), her sister Elizabeth McAdams, brothers: Gregg (Cheryl) Verillo, John Verillo, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Joseph Verillo, her sister, April Collins and April's husband John Collins.

Jenny’s friends and family are invited to attend her visitation Monday, November 17, 2025 from 9:00am-10:00am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael the Archangel, 66 Levittown Pkwy, Levittown, 19054. A luncheon to continue celebrating Jenny’s life will follow.
