Joanne Donahue

Joanne Marie Donahue (Quinn), 61, of Benton, PA, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025, after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer. Born on June 23, 1963, Joanne lived a life defined by authenticity, generosity, and unwavering love for those around her.

Joanne was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth and selflessness touched everyone she met. She was known for putting others before herself, always offering a listening ear and a helping hand. Her kind heart and genuine nature made her a source of comfort and strength to her family and friends.

Joanne last worked as a Social Skills Paraprofessional at Benton Area Elementary School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Bridget Quinn; her husband, William R. Donahue; and her siblings James J. Quinn, Michael Quinn, Eileen M. Moreton, and Maureen O. Jones.

Joanne is survived by her three beloved children, William R. Donahue (Elizabeth), Michael J. Donahue, and Bridget V. Donahue. She also leaves behind her siblings Patricia M. Cawley (Michael), Leonard F. Quinn (Patricia), Carol A. Biriki (Louis), Kathleen M. Kozak (Mark), Sean T. Quinn (Sherri), Brian T. Quinn (Dawn), as well as numerous nieces and nephews who loved her.

Joanne’s legacy is one of love, kindness, and authenticity. Her strength and grace in the face of adversity will continue to inspire those who knew her.

A celebration of Joanne’s life will be held at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056. Her viewing will take place on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 6:00pm-8:00pm. A secondary viewing will be held Thursday, March 20, 2025 from, 11:30am-12:30pm, with services at 12:30pm. She will be laid to rest after at 1:30 PM at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Rd, Bensalem, Pennsylvania 19020.

Joanne’s presence will be deeply missed, but her love and spirit will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
