John William Kendrick

John enlisted in the US Army. He met his future wife, Marilyn, while working part-time for her father’s Chicken Delight as a delivery man while home on leave from the US Army. John served his country faithfully in Vietnam and was honorably discharged. John and Marilyn were married upon his return and spent 55 years together.

John worked as a self-employed carpenter until his retirement in 2012. In retirement, John still enjoyed working with wood, making children's toys.

Predeceased by his beloved wife of 55 years, Marilyn; John is survived by his sons, John (Megan Clarke) and Bryan (Colleen); his grandchildren, Cara and Ryan; his brother-in-law, Stephen Rebar (Rosemarie); his niece, Lauren Cunningham (Kevin); his nephew Joseph Rebar (Simone); his great niece Riley Cunningham; and his great nephew Cavan Cunningham; and his cousin, Edward Tobie, and his nephew, Matthew (Bria) Tobie.

A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the James. J Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA.

All other services will be private.
