

John F. O'Hara, Sr. John F. "Jack" O'Hara, Sr. died surrounded by his children on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 78. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. O'Hara was a long time resident of Levittown prior to moving to Southwest Philadelphia 30 years ago. He was a member of Saint Barnabas Parish. Mr. O'Hara was a 1954 graduate of Saint Thomas Moore High School. In his younger years, Mr. O'Hara enjoyed bowling in the Levittown area bowling leagues. He retired from Pathmark after more than 25 years of employment. He is the loving father of Maryfaith Chimera (Frank), Jack O'Hara (Debbie) and Brian O'Hara (Rita). Grandfather of Nicole (Kate), Frank (Allison), Justin (Jenny), Jake, Shannon, Connor, Ryan and Michael, great grandfather of Ronan and Oliver. Survived by 3 sisters and 1 brother, Catherine McMenamin, Nancy Hotz, Kate (Frank) McKnight, and Patrick (Patricia) O'Hara. He will also be sadly missed by his sister-in-law Sandy O'Hara, brother-in-law Ron Thomas and many nieces and nephews. Mr. O'Hara was preceded in death by his parents, Madeline and Patrick O'Hara and his siblings, Patsy Love, Anthony O'Hara and Maureen Thomas. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, from 9:30 until 11:00 am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Interment will be held privately. Memorial contributions to the above church appreciated.
