Born on September 19, 1961, in Philadelphia, PA, Jack was the son of the late Carl and Marion Wanjek.
He is survived by his three children, Jacqueline (Matthew) Petusky, Ian (Valerie) Wanjek, and Meri (Colin Strapp) Wanjek, as well as his grandson, Walter Wanjek, son of Ian and Valerie. Jack is also survived by his siblings, Carl (Karen) Wanjek, Eileen (Michael) Bailey, Maryjo (the late Edward) Mirynowski, Marion (Shawn) Passman, and many nieces and nephews.
Jack instilled a love of the outdoors and history in his children. He cherished moments spent playing, canoeing, and fishing with them. His passion for rugby, the Flyers, and his sense of humor endeared him to all who knew him. Throughout his life, Jack faced the challenges of addiction, which ultimately took him away from the family and friends who loved him dearly.
