Born in Bristol, PA, to the late Joseph A. Bonfig, Sr., (Doris) and Edna Rae Bonfig (McGowan) and brother to the late Jennie Rae Oxley, as well as brother to Ricky Bonfig (Debbie), Tommy Bonfig (Kathy), Billy Bonfig (Leeann) and Marlene Rearick (Craig). Joseph was also Uncle Joe to many nieces and nephews and a loving cousin to many.
Son, Brother, Husband, Dad, Pop, Uncle Joe or Big Red, Joseph was a true Patriarch and Provider for his family.
Years of blue collar work at the box factory and many sacrifices battered his body and mind but no price was too much to pay to provide for his greatest accomplishments, his children, Allicia Bonfig, Bonnie Curtin (Thomas), and Joseph R. Bonfig (Jessica). Fatherly love and support were his greatest gifts.
Joseph was also a loving Pop of Michael (Macie), David, Zachary, Jacob, Kenny, Amber, Braydon, and Mason and the great grandfather of Michael and Marley.
His commitment to his family was only matched by his true love for his wife, Barb. Joined at the heart more than 50 years ago and now reunited again in heaven. Their connection could not be broken by death and will now continue eternally in the heavens.
So slick back your red hair, get a close clean shave, color match your clothes, grab the keys to your stinkin Lincoln, head on over to your favorite diner, grab a table for you and Mom, flash the peace sign, because "Joes Gotta Go!"
