Born in Philadelphia, son of the late Rita (Greene) and Murtha Cottman, Joseph has been a long time resident of Lower Bucks County.
He was a former teacher with the Carpenters Joint Apprentice Training Center of Philadelphia. He was member of the Carpenters Union for over 50 years and was a long time treasurer of Union Local 8.
Joseph had served proudly in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam War Veteran.
Joseph is survived by his siblings, Rita M. Cottman and David Hohman; his fiancee, Alexis Carrasquillo; and step daughter, Rachael Torkar (Felix).
He will also be sadly missed by many cousins.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, from 9:00 until 11:00 am at Saint Thomas Aquinas Church, 601 Bristol Pike, Croydon, where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Interment will be held privately.
