Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA to Joseph and Theresa Krushnowski, he was a life-long area resident. He was a 1966 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High school and Bucks County Technical School. Joe enlisted in the US Marine Corps and was honorably discharged. He went on to be an environmental chemist until his retirement in 2014.
In Joe’s free time, he earned a 3rd black belt in Karate and taught at several area karate clubs. He was instrumental in starting the Karate Club at the YMCA. Joe was also an original member of the Levittown Junior Drum and Bugle Corps playing the bass drum.
Predeceased by his parents; his brother, Donald; and his sister Gwenn; he is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Barbara Krushnowski; his goddaughter/niece Linda Mattis and her family; his sister-in-law Judy Blackmon (Harry); his brother-in-law Jeffrey Packer (Donna). He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
Burial with full military honors will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Highland Ave, Newtown, PA.
