Joey was born in Bristol, PA , and was the beloved son of Robert and Joan Lamina. He is survived by one brother, Michael Lamina, (Tina), and his niece Lily, his nephew Luca, his girlfriend Kat Burke, and his beloved beagle Maxey. He is also survived by his Uncle Michael Lamina and his Aunt Irene, his Uncle Joe Imperato, Aunt Rose, and his Aunt Chickie Mancini and his cousins Warren and Dennis Brady, Kristi Howe, Joey Imperato, Stacey Imperato and Mike Mancini. He was the grandson of the late Joseph and Catherine Imperato and Michael and Josephine Lamina. He was also preceded by his Uncle Butch Imperato, his Aunt Theresa T. Brady (Imperato) and his cousin, Anthony Mancini.
Joey is a graduate of Conwell Egan Catholic High School 2002. He was employed with Si Comm Corporation for 20 years which is now Zenial powered by their parent company Global Payments.
Joey was a talented athlete, great dancer, loved music and sports. He enjoyed every minute of choreographing spirit night performances. He played football for four years for Conwell Egan under head coach John Quinn. He was first team All Catholic as a junior and a senior. His senior year he led Lower Bucks County with seven interceptions. His greatest achievement was being selected scholar athlete by the Delaware Valley Chapter National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame in 2001.
Family and friends are invited to attend his celebration of life on Monday, August 19th, 2024 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 20th, 2024 at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA at 11:00am. Rite of Committal will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA.
