Joseph P. Nyars

Joseph P. Nyars, Sr., age 72, of Levittown, passed away at Aria Health, Bucks Campus on Thursday, January 7, 2016 after a very courageous battle with liver failure.Mr. Nyars was born to the late Julius and Julia (Kinczel) Nyars in Trenton, NJ and was a longtime resident of Lower Bucks County.He worked as a custodian at Pennwood Junior High School in the Pennsbury School District for over 30 years. Mr. Nyars loved his career just as much as his life.In his spare time, Joe also enjoyed taking care of his yard and collecting baseball memorabilla but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.Beloved husband of Barbara M. (Hirst), Mr. Nyars was the loving father of Joseph P. Jr., Richard (Jennifer), Carol Ann (Ron) Shagovac and Maria Nyars. He was the grandfather of Heather, Ronnie, Amber, Ryan, Eddie and Carley. He also leaves behind 8 cherised great grandchildren.Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 8:00 P.M..
